Mrs. Milner
Meadowlark Elementary
3rd. Grade
I am very excited to be in Andover, Kansas, teaching at Meadowlark. I would like to tell you a little about myself so you can get to know me.
I was raised and attended grade school in Severy, Kansas, and Jr. High and High School at West Elk in Howard, Kansas. I was very active in numerous clubs, played saxophone in band, participated in sports, and was cheerleader all throughout Jr. High and High School. After graduating, I attended Coffeyville Community Jr. College, was a cheerleader, and played in the band for the Ravens. Following Jr. College, I attended Emporia State University and earned my Elementary and Special Education Degree in 1982. I began my teaching career at Severy Elementary as a Fifth Grade and Title One Reading Teacher (half time each). I taught there ten years. In 1992, I began teaching at Mulberry Elementary in Eureka, Kansas. I was with the Eureka School System for fifteen years. I start my twenty-seventh year.
Sam, my husband of twenty-seven years, and I have four children. Meagan, 24, is starting her first year of teaching Fifth Grade in Wichita. Haley, 21, is in her second year of nursing. Whitney, 18, wants to study to become a cosmetologist. Lucas, 14, will begin his 8th Grade Year as an ACMS Jaguar. He keeps us very busy traveling to his baseball, football, and basketball games.
I enjoy spending time with my family, camping and fishing, and gardening.
I have enjoyed the move to Andover and have found the people to be so friendly and welcoming. I look forward to this year and becoming part of the Third Grade Meadowlark Team.
